EA announced today that The Sims 4 will be debuting this year on PS4 and Xbox One on November 17th.
The console versions of the game aim to deliver the same experience as its PC version gives with creating your own unique Sims character through a detailed character creator, building and decorating your own house and even travel the world. The Sims series has always been a wacky and entertaining life simulator, so be prepared to see a lot more Let’s Plays on YouTube come November.
Executive Producer of The Sims 4 Lyndsay Pearson added:
“The addition of a console-version of The Sims 4 has been long-awaited by fans and newcomers alike, and we at Maxis are beyond excited to bring The Sims to new platforms. The game delivers a beautiful The Sims experience on console and comes packed with tons of the fan-favorite content, so players can look forward to the unique gameplay, self-expression, and fun that have come to be tentpoles of The Sims brand. The possibilities to play with life are as endless as the players’ creativity.”
The Sims 4 console ports will include all of the updates and add-ons already available on the PC version, with more updates and content planned for a later release.
EA Access members will also be able to play The Sims 4 five days before its official launch. Those who pre-order The Sims 4 on either PS4 or Xbox One will receive the Perfect Patio Stuff pack, which gives players access to outdoor decor to customize their homes. Pre-ordering The Sims 4 Deluxe Party Edition will grant players special items like a Flaming Tiki Bar and silly animal hats in addition to the Perfect Patio Stuff pack, as well as early access to the game on November 14.
