SNES Mini Announced, Releases In September for $80

Nintendo officially revealed the SNES mini, a smaller re-release of their classic gaming console. The micro-console is priced at $80 and will launch in September 29. Rumors have circulated of whether the SNES was getting a re-release and what games it would include.

Thankfully, the SNES mini comes with a spectacular collection of classic masterpieces including Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the unreleased Star Fox 2, and 17 other games. The SNES mini is packaged with a total of 21 SNES games.

Hopefully Nintendo can keep up with demand, since nearly every gamer and their mother (including myself) is going to want to pick one up. Knowing Nintendo’s record though, it’s unlikely, so act fast on those preorders!
