Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy VII Remake May Be 2018/Beyond Releases

Take heart Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy fans. By the looks of Square Enix’s financial plans for the year, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake may not be releasing until 2018 or later.

Besides some trailers, we have very little information about Kingdom Hearts 3 (and probably for the better at this point). Square Enix has been doing their best to divert attention from the anticipated title with re-releases, its mobile counterpart, a celebratory worldwide concert, and more.

There hasn’t been any official announcements from Square Enix, but if these reports are any indication; it looks like we may have to wait a little longer than expected for Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

I would assume Square Enix will have some updates for those games for E3, especially since Square didn’t ante up on some Kingdom Hearts 3 news as they stated in a trailer from last year, but I’ve been wrong before. This year does mark the 30th anniversary for Final Fantasy, the 20th anniversary for Final Fantasy VII, and the 15 anniversary for Kingdom Hearts after all.
