The Nintendo Switch pre-orders have been sold out for a while now, leaving little hope for those looking to buy a Switch console on launch day. Well, mega retailer GameStop may have raised some of our hopes a bit as they expect to sell a limited supply of Switch Consoles to walk-ins on the launch day of March 3rd.
GameStop is encouraging those who are interested in purchasing a Switch to attend the Midnight launch event for the best chance to secure the highly anticipated console on day one .
“We will have a limited supply of the Nintendo Switch systems on launch day for walk-in customers,” GameStop’s Bub Puzon said in a statement. “Our teams made this happen.
“I would strongly suggest customers plan on attending one of our midnight launch events for a shot at securing one of these extra units. They will go fast!”
Nintendo Switch retails for $299 and the console will not include any games bundled in its package. GameStop will be offering several bundles which goes live on it’s website on March 2nd. One of the bundles includes Switch console, a Pro controller, and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for $430.
