Crash Bandicoot may not be an exclusive afterall

There may be a little more to the new upcoming Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy than what we were originally told. If by any chance you don’t own a Playstation 4, or a Playstation 4 Pro, it may be a matter of time before you can get your hands on this highly-anticipated title.

Set to release on the Playstation platform on June 30, the game was said to be exclusive to the Playstation 4, tweeted out by the PlayStation Ireland Twitter account.

@Irishgamerman Hi David, this will be PS4 exclusive.

— PlayStation Ireland (@PlayStationIE) February 20, 2017

That tweet has since been deleted, and Playstation Ireland is now playing the PR game, sending out yet another tweet to bring some clarity to their previous remarks.

To clarify our earlier post, it will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro first.

What this sounds like is a timed exclusive, but we won’t know for sure until official confirmation regarding the games future status is revealed.

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a remaster of the first three Crash games developed by Naughty Dog, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

Stay tuned as we will update you as more news comes.

Business wise, this is the smartest move! Xbox is a platform that has fewer games to compete with and the PC has so many games that the market is saturated. A widely accepted and iconic game being exclusive to just the Playstation platform limits potential profits, so i am all for it being released on multiple platforms and taking advantage of the market.
