Atlus Reveals The Persona 5 Anime TV Series For Japan In 2018

Atlus’ Twitter revealed today that the popular Persona 5 game will be getting an anime television series set to debut in 2018 for Japan called Persona 5 the Animation.

The series will be created by the A-1 Pictures, the same animation studio that brought you the last three Persona 3 movies, The Seven Deadly Sins, and more. A short teaser was released along with the announcement, however the trailer is currently region locked. No word yet on if the Persona 5 anime will be localized or released to the West.

A single prologue episode called Persona 5 The Animation: The Day Breaker was released prior to the game in Japan, which you can find available on the anime streaming service Crunchyroll (it’s definitely worth checking out in case you’re interested).

We reviewed Persona 5 sometime ago, calling it “the pinnacle of modern JRPGs.”
